Unleash Your Inner DJ!
We need your help! We are compiling the names of our favorite songs from our DHHS years, and we are interested in your thoughts and opinions! We’ll aim to play our top faves at the reunion, but we can only do that if you help us out with your suggestions. Please take a moment to add your 2¢… if you cannot see the comments below, please click here… thanks!

Although I never did see Guns N’ Roses in concert, I think my favorite tune from back in the day would have to be Sweet Child o’ Mine. I don’t have any specific memories with regards to this song… just cool flashbacks of mannnny parties with this song busting the speakers. Hope to hear it again with ya’ll at the reunion!
Welcome to the Jungle (Guns n Roses); Push It (Salt n Peppa); Fire Woman (The Cult); Little Girls (Oingo Boingo); Rhythm Nation (Janet Jackson); Moments in Love (Art of Noise)…
Now, I gotta go load up on iTunes cuz I’m jones’n for these oldies!
How about “Ice Ice Baby” by my boy, Vanilla Ice; “Don’t Dream It’s Over” – Crowded House; “Nothing Compares 2 U” – Sinead, and of course my personal favorite…”Hot For Teacher” – Van Halen
I might need to hear some Milli Vanilli…Girl You Know its True!
Here goes…Pour Some Sugar on Me (Def Leppard), Girls, Girls, Girls (Motley Crue), Dead Man’s Party (Oingo Boingo), Suicide Blond (INXS), Cult of Personality (Living Colour), Red Red Wine (UB40), Only you (Yaz), Dancing in Heaven (Q Feel), and lest we not forget, Can’t Touch This (MC Hammer)…to name just a few.
You go, TR !! Does this mean that you’re coming to the reunion ?? If so, let’s bike down from Idaho… (wishful thinking…) !! :-)
You tease…I’m gonna put air in my tires just in case you show up!
Nicely done! How the heck did I leave out Yaz? (not the birth control). I gotta look for my Upstairs at Eric’s tape.
Upstairs at Eric’s… too funny… just hearing these names is *CRACKING* me up !! I’m thinking that we’ll need to burn CDs for inclusion in the Twenty-10 Souvenir Pack… Greg “D-with-too-many-Ys”… where are you… we could use your help on this one, if think you can spare the time… :-)
VY – I talked with Greg about it. Let’s talk
Trac, Pour Some Sugar on Me ALWAYS reminds me of us head-banging with our long hair! Whiplash dancing! haha! :)
I think it was out of a white Forerunner without it’s top on…
I’ve got to throw in “One of My Kind” by INXS…and it just wouldn’t be the Class of ‘90 without some “Shook me All Night Long” by AC/DC.
Please make sure to have a special helmet for Todd this year so he doesn’t have another “accident” like he did at the 10th.
We decided to give DHHS logo’d helmets & bandages to all reunion guests…just in case.
Great initiative with the safety gear! I’ll feel even better if I know that Stewy will be available to come the rescue like last time…???
Anything sung by Boy George or Annie Lennox. Of course, we have to have multiple Michael Jackson tunes!
and speaking of George, try George Michael and Madonna.
Fascination Street, Personal jesus, Always on the Run, What’s On Your Mind (Pure Energy), I Love to Hate You, Lips Like Sugar, Turning Japanese, Take On Me, Boom Boom Boom (Let’s Go Back To My Room), Twilight Zone, Dead Man’s Party, Oportunities (Let’s Make Lots Of money), Bring On The Dancing Horses, Left of Center, You Spin Me Round, Tempted,
* DHHS Party Committee Note: We got the comment above from someone who didn’t want to enter his / her name into the system. We were going to axe the comment, but then decided that the song selection was just so appropriate that it deserved a bit of publicity. :-)
Bravo, Party Committee. I’m adding these to my fav’s as well.
Forever Young by Alphaville is a must. Anything by Pat Benatar, Madonna, The Cars and Prince. I was just telling my girls about coming home after school Freshman year and putting on the Whitesnake record–turning it way up. Still Of The Night still rocks, I don’t care what anyone says!
Thanks for sharing, Sonja. You can count on hearing Forever Young.
I dreamed of having a white Jaguar when I grew up…
with a sexy red-head as a hood ornament, of course.
Sexy redheads RULE! Hey Dave, I’ve told my three girls about how I used to stare at your shoulders in Algebra. They think I’m weird.
All are great songs to remember but, I havn’t seen anyone recommend any songs by The Police”Synchronicity” “Canary in a Colemine” etc. and definitely a little Bob.
“coalmine” duhhh!
I always thought it was “Lil’ Gary Coleman”
